> I think you're right, but then the only way they find the leak is by > filling it. But they don't necessarily fill it with Freon. When I went through this a few years ago, I believe it was nitrogen they used for leak checking. (Turned out to be the compressor leaking through a joint in the housing, only at high pressure.) -- Randall |
