This is one of my concerns. I'm pretty cheap, and to boot, I just made
a bracket-bender the other day. I'd much rather make my own hangers and
such, versus paying, say, $20 for each, unless they are really, really
nice. $18 or so for 7 feet of the rail isn't bad at all, and I don't mind
that... but $20 times a dozen hangers makes the whole thing not worth
while.
