(This isn't directly related to particular dishwashers or picking one, just seems like a suitable time to bring it up.) One thing to think about with a dishwasher that's not working as well as it used to is the detergent. In the first half of last year, the use of phosphates in dishwasher detergents was phased out. Phosphates in dishwashers soften the water, which make the rising work better, and generally increase the performance of the detergent. If your dishwasher has recently stopped working well, it's entirely possible your detergent just sucks. Try something else. -- David Scheidt dmscheidt at gmail.com |
