I already gave mine, which is to buy from a supplier that has at least some
measure of quality control. All of the calipers I've gotten from Enco (and
I have quite a few, as I keep one by the computer and one by the lathe and
one by the workbench ...) have been accurate to within a few 'tenths' when
checked at 1" & 3" (the only gauge blocks I have).
