I definitely agree with the latter.
It's somewhat of an illusion to assume that you can just improvise a
few brackets and such in your garage and magically produce something
that is better and more reliable than the original Jag design.
I have seen too many "conversions" that seem ok from the surface but
once you get the owner talking candidly, imperfections always appear.
Besides, why would you want a Jag that isn't a Jag?
