Yeah, I 'attempted' it on my mom's house. Ended up doing
the whole roof.
:) It's not impossible to do a part, but
depending on where the leak is,
you may find that it is
a RPITA to get everything trimmed and lined up
without
breaking the existing shingles and causing another leak.
We ended up
trying to do one whole side, then that led to
the next side and the next until
we did the whole roof.
You could also use some roof goop to seal the hole if
you can find it. I've done that.
