Look on page 45 of the PDF.  There's the earliest sabre saw with the 
rotating blade I can find.

Look on page 20 of the PDR for the jig saws, nowadays called scroll saws.

Page 42, you'll notice it's still not called a circular saw, it's a power 
saw.  Though on page 48, you'll find an attachment to make your drill a 
"circular saw".
