I have an older (well, maybe only 15 or so years old, so maybe not that old) steel Thermos with a flip top spout built into the cap. The cap gasket (assuming there actually is a gasket) leaks. I was thinking about squirting a bead of RTV silicone in the gasket area and letting it set up to stop the leak but I seem to recall that RTV may have toxic additives to keep mold and mildew from growing on it. What does the list think? thanks, Dave C _______________________________________________ Shop-talk mailing list http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/shop-talk |
