My garage has 4 porcelain fixtures in the ceiling. I would like to replace them with some 8' flourescents. If I need to extend the wiring from the box under the porcelain fixtures to reach the new fixtures what is a safe way to do it? The new fixtures will have a hole in the mounting side to allow the wiring to pass through. Or, can I run the new fixture wiring through the top of the fixture directly into the present box? I can do the work but don't know the ins and outs of safely doing this. Thanks. Phil Nase Quakertown, PA http://home.comcast.net/~philnasecpa |
