If I just needed accurate crosscuts, I think one of these would work quite 
well, but the primary thing I'm wanting is the ability to rip with more 
accuracy than I can with a skillsaw.

I'd like to find something under $300... Does anyone make a rugged 10" 
portable tablesaw that's not junk for that price?
