I had one of these in an apartment I lived in,
and I actually didn't use it all the time
because it was too hot! I imagine it has a
lot to do with where you live. In colder
climates, I imagine it would be less
effective than in warmer ones. I live in
the San Francisco Bay Area.
I do tend to keep thick fuzzy rugs on my
bathroom floors. My experience was that
the infrared heat, combined with a fan,
would warm the bathroom thoroughly enough
that the rug was even slightly warm.
Does it make any sense to get an infrared
bulb, put it in one of those clamp-on shop
lamps, and test it out for a while?
