Dodge Ram truck drivers are familiar with this issue. They found that driving around with the switch pulled back can burn out the contacts and necessitate changing a somewhat pricey multifunction stem switch. A relay based solution called a "bright box" is sold by Geno's garage. I believe there is also a low budget solution out there that simply involves bridging a couple of wires. Not sure, but that may stress the main lighting switch which can have its own problems. Matt |
