Folks,
I need to move 2 Jeep Cherokees cross-country (FL to CA and vice
versa). One
transporter--who shall remain nameless because I think the dispatcher
really did
try--has already flaked out. It appears independent drivers contracted
by the
transporter company are loathe to travel cross-country due to fuel
prices, even
with a few hundred dollars incentive from the contractor. These are just
used
Cherokees so they don't need special treatment; open-air is fine. I
just want to
get them moved as inexpensively as possible.
Anyway, can anyone recommend either a) a good, reasonable, reliable
"broker," or
b) a good, reasonable, reliable independent auto transporter? Anyone
feel like
taking a round-trip cross-country drive? ;)
