I have 8 ft ceilings and with the price of a suspect lift for $1,000 
completly finished I had a local concrete company dig out my cement floor 
with a back-hoe and build a pit 3' X 14' X 6", 7 steps and then wooden 
planked flooring, best investment I ever made, I have a heavy metel tray 
that slides along the side walls and can use bottle jacks if need be.  "FT"
