I have a 2004 GMC half ton 2WD pick up with factory aluminum wheels and 7"
(nominal) hubcaps. The problem is the hub caps don't stay on the wheels
worth a damn and I have lost both of the rears. The road to my house is
1.5 miles of gravel and chip seal and it's pretty rough, and apparently the
pot holes knock them loose. New ones cost about $40, and used ones are not
a whole lot less. I'd rather not be buying replacements every few
weeks. I'm thinking of making replacements out of aluminum diamond plate
and bolting them in place. Any ideas?
Thanks
