It is geared to setting up a clean network and phone wiring environment in
an office setting, but a subset would do well in a home.
Note that with advances in wireless networking and central base/wireless
phones you might not use much of it now, but if you are putting something in
it makes sense to put it in clean and expandable if you can. I also
recommend adding an empty conduit (flexible plastic is easy to use and
cheap) from whatever central point your wiring runs from to wherever you add
wires.
