I am trying to resurface a flat counter which has a plastic laminate (Formica ?) top with a different color plastic laminate. I tried roughing up the surface with a sander and then applying contact cement to both surfaces as I would if I was starting from scratch. The new laminate just pulls right away. (the latex base cement) Does someone have experience with resurfacing counter tops that could give me some advice on how to proceed? Thanks in advance for the help. |
