Quiet Air Conditioning

Any experts out there to recommend which condensing units are the quietest? Are
there special models, maybe at premium prices, with lower noise ratings? Are
any makes or models particularly know to be quieter then average?

Started thinking about moving the existing 2.5 ton unit round the corner but
two contractors have said "Unit is 10 years old - why not get a new unit?"
Ignoring the sales talk seems it might be a good idea if there are quieter
units out there.
