Lots of sports car and race car builders are influenced by the words of the late
Carroll Smith.
He didn't much like powder coating on chassis or suspension pieces . . he had
the idea that one couldn't always see cracks under the powder coat and that
powder coat made it impossible or unsightly to add new brackets or to repair the
coated piece. He also put me on to "Zynolyte Rustmaster" rattle-can or spray
epoxy paint. It is so tough that I don't NEED powder coat anyway and I can
touch up anywhere anytime.
