I actually use a piece of software ($199) called VAG-COM that duplicates the
Audi dealer's VAG 1552 scan and diagnostic tool. I'm sure someone out there
has something similar for your car. The laptop was $83 shipped, from ebay.
The inverter was $69 from radio shack for a 300w.
BTW, the VAG-COM software is superior to the dealerships and many techs
prefer it to the 1552.
