I have an old HF autodarkening lense that you put in you helmet. I paid $109
about 8 yrs ago. Still running. I live it.
I have a friend with one of the new cheap $60 HF autodarkening helmets and
he likes his. The new ones have a photocell and generate their own
electricity. My old one uses 2 AAA batteries. I'm still using the original
batteries.
I'd say go for it! I think you'll be happy.
