I had these guards http://waterfall.crane-plastics.com/ installed on my
house in May. I'm under some rather heavy tree cover (
http://www.xxiii.com/wcox/House_Pix/Front%20of%20House%20small.jpg ) and so
far they've worked very well. At about $4.50 a linear foot, they were a
bunch cheaper than some of the others out there (that included
installation, plus pressure washing the entire roof & gutters.)
For a DIY install, I think a kit of 40 feet of the material is only about $140.
