Eeek! I guess this story had a happy ending but it freaked me out. A
mechanical failure at 36K? I'm ready to buy a new car/truck and intend
to let the dealer service it. Are there any other "Nightmare Motors"
out there that I should know about? And if this failure was only
revealed during the oil change, would the dealer be reluctant to give
the bad news to the customer? And isn't there something about the
manufacturer being responsible for failures affecting the emissions
system up to 50 thousand miles?
