We may have a terminology problem here.

Do you mean "blueboard" as in the stuff that goes behind skim-coat plaster 
(watch "This Old house" for mention of it that way)?

Or, do you mean blue extruded polystyrene insulation, that is, blue board 
versus beadboard? (It is also available as "pink board".)

6 mil plastic is a decent vapor barrier.

Sorry, I don't remember what thickness for the vapor barrier;
