Why not just use the paper towels in the shop, and save the water, the soap,
the aggravation, and the possibility of getting caught! :-)
Personally, I don't have a wife, so what I do with my washing machine is MY
problem. I wash the rags and reuse them until they are shreds (We Tight!).
I wipe out the washer with one of the cleaner rags, or a freshly washed one
if I wash them all, then I run a load of jeans before washing good shirts!
