Dwade, I've repaired lots of things with JB Weld, but IMO this is a poor
application.  All those hairline cracks say to me that your tank is on the
verge of suffering a major failure.  If you do want to use JB Weld, I'd
recommend 'buttering' the entire inside of the tank and then laying some
fiberglass cloth into it.  The goal being to create an inner tank capable of
holding water if the outer one fails.

If you're not trying to save the toilet for esthetic reasons, new toilets
are not all that expensive (at least compared to cleaning up a flooded
house), and I believe can still be ordered in "high flow" versions.
