You guys have got me going now. I live in New Zealand, (down by Australia).
As a young lad i pawed over my hobby magagzines at the Heathkit adverts
fantacising over which project to build. The problem was that the $ exchange
rate meant what pocket money i had just couldn't cut it cost wise. Finally i
started in my career in electronics and my then boss knew the quality of
Heathkit products. I spent many 'training' hours building up various test
apparatus for his workshop: tube checkers, capacitor testers etc. What i
remember most were those detailed diagrams/drawings of the wiring layout in
the assembly instruction book. They ARE now artwork in their own right and
probably collectable now Heathkit are gone. Man they were good.
