This is off list. Where are you at? I live outside of Aberdeen, South
Dakota which is prairie farm country, fox, rabbits, skunk, deer, etc.
Fox usually avoid settled areas around here. I've seen a few coyote 30
miles SW of here while pheasant hunting. You in CA? (bob cats?) I've
seen a few bob cat in western SD while grouse or sage hen hunting, but
there's none around here that I know of. Seen a lost moose or two!
