I have one of the Harbor Freight "portable" blast cabinets,
and I love it. I like it because I can move it around.
I don't have the floor space in the shop to dedicate to a
blast cabinet. Also, in the past, I've blasted in the
shop and you get a very fine dust on the floor. This
traction a real problem, the smooth concrete floor gets
very slipery.
I now move the blast cabinet outside to blast.
For larger parts, I use a pressure blaster. They cut a
lot faster than the syphon feed guns in the cabinets.
I've been working on an article for The Brickline which
I publish and my Morgan web page about Sandblasting.
If anyone is interested in a draft copy, please email me
and I'll email you a PDF version of the article.
