Take it back anyway. As long as its a current model, they may just give you
another one. Just tell them you lost the receipt, or it was a present for
your birthday last June. Be creative, but don't be confrontational.
Salespeople enjoy helping customers who are nice. The worst thing that can
happen is they say no, and you still have the old drill press.
