I'm sure this subject has been covered many times, however I don't
think there is an archives for this list soooooo here goes...!
We are moving into our new/old shop and need to do something about
lighting. The shop is 25' x 65' and will be painted a light grey
inside. Currently there are 2 rows of four double 8' flourescent
light fixtures. Most are none functioning due to either bad bulbs
or ballasts, we're not sure which yet.
Before moving anything into the shop it would be nice to either
put in new/different lights or fix the current ones.
Does anyone have any suggestions on alternative lighting types at
a "reasonable" cost? We checked Graingers and at $250 a light for
sodium vapor, thats just a bit much. We can replace a lot of
bulbs and ballasts for that kind of money. Being in Texas and
using lights that generate a lot of heat would be somewhat counter
productive!
Also, I believe our power source is 230 single phase, haven't
verified that for sure however.
TIA
