Good Day List,
I'm a new member to this list and look forward to learning from each of your
experiences/knowledge and perhaps even contributing my two cents worth once in
a while. My interests/hobbies are car restorations (ie: "little british
cars") and woodworking. I'm at that age (double nickel), where I'm
considering what retirement will hold for me and consequently have begun
researching plans for adding another garage/workshop to better support my
hobbies.
My question is this: I have recently added a stationary air compressor in my
garage with air lines of black pipe running along the wall. I continue to
have a small air leak where the black pipe screws into the plastic regulator.
I have tried teflon plumbers tape, and pipe thread compound of "TFE" paste. I
have not tried the Hercules brand "pro dope" which I used on metal to metal
connections as the directions say "not for use on plastic threads". Before I
take it apart for a third time I thought I would ask for any suggestions you
all may have.
Thanks,
Tom
