I guess that's part of my question. I'd like to use something I could buy
at Lowe's, so is there anything wrong with using residential copper pipe?
Should I look for a certain grade?

Subject: air line radiator,,,etc
I'll go along with Gene...
my shop is plumbed with 1/2" galv just like the "TIP" catalog shows... and
I'm feeding the main header with a reinforced flex hose from the
compressor. I'd like to see some plans for the radiator also... If
anyone is willing to draw up a sketch and forward to me I'll post it on my
page for all to use....
Gene, what kind of copper are you using ?? standard residential plumbing
grade or something heavier ??
