I made trailer ramps by welding 2 lengths 8"x10-ft C-purlin together, one
pair for each ramp. And piece of 16" angle-iron on one end for the "hook", a
bevel on the other to match the angle with the ground. Nice and long,
fairly lightweight.
They work well for cars under 2500#. Can be reinforced for heavier cars.
Suggest traction enhancement on the topside. I used wet paint and sand ;)
