Aric,
I used my Skillsaw with a 7 inch masonary blade to do a 10x10 patio (about 25
cuts) with hex shaped blocks. What I found worked best was to score both sides
of the block about one half inch deep, then support both edges of the block and
bump it with a 2lb. hammer. This method worked for cuts as narrow as 1 inch
from the edge of the block (using 2 inch thick pavers). Used up three or more
blades, but they are cheap.
Good Luck

... Looking online I saw suggestions for using a masonry blade in a circular
saw. Is this the best route? If so, do I cut completely through the block or
only score it on one side (or both) and whack it with the hammer? Cut wet or
dry?
Thanks for the help.
-Aric Datesman.
