I suspect that you have not had trouble with the side loading of
the saw motor. I thought that I had seen these things somewhere...I'm
glad that my memory isn't too far gone <g>.
I bought some special tacky glue from Sears several years ago.
It's called Sanding Disk Adhesive I think. Gob it on and let
it dry, then apply the disk. The stuff allows the worn disk
to be removed quite easily. I have used it on a 4"
rubber disk, but I expect it would work for a metal disk as well.
Perhaps self-adhesive disks shouldn't be used with this product.
