a quick X10 question:
i have two fans with light kits on them, with fittings for 4 bulbs per kit. i'm
currently using 40 watt fan bulbs in the light kits.
i have X10 wall switches on the leg for the light kit.
with 1, 2, or 3 bulbs installed, the light turns on and off just fine.
with 4 bulbs installed, the wall switch works as a wall switch, but doesn't
seem to support remote operation in any kind of reliable way -- the lights
turn off reliably, but only turn on less than say, 5% of the time -- usually
turning on properly the first 3 or so times after the switch is installed,
but not thereafter.
anybody have any suggestions for a fix? clearly there's some wacky
impedance thing going on, but my qualifications for dealing with
it run out about when i finish spelling "impedance".
thanks,
richard
