Hi Mark. I really appreciate the work that you're putting in to the list.
I run a number of lists myself, on my own servers like you do, so I know
how much work it really is. I'm very thankful for people like you
and me who run lists non-commercially-- I truly hate the commercial
list services that include advertising in list messages and spam the lists.
I recently added a program to my majordomo setup that looks for, and strips
out, MIME attachments. It's configurable to do the same for other stuff.
I used to run Majordomo so that it would reject posts with MIME in
them, but my lists have a lot of people who are pretty new to computers
and don't really understand what all this stuff is. So I got a lot of
"why did you reject my post?" emails.
The program is called demime. http://scifi.squawk.com/demime.html
Again, thanks for running the list.
