OK< we just covered this a few months ago, but I've lost the emails:
I have only 3 devices so far on my X-10 controls:
Tansceiver in the upstairs bedroom, lamp module in th entryway, and the
compressor outside the kitchen window on a 3-prong appliance module.
The compressor module will not work, although it did work a time or two.
The circuit the compressor is on is just a quick-and-dirty groundless split
off one side of the A/C compressor box. Not my idea but it works. Could the
lack of a ground affect the operation of the X-10 module?
I'm pretty sure it's a matter of being on the opposite leg of the box, as
discussed here earlier. X-10 has a new plug-in bridge, and I was ready to
jump on it until I saw the price - $100!
Someone else posted a very low-cost bridging method.
Is this what I really need to get this working?
Thanks for the help.
