Setting up a lathe and getting it precisely level is an important part in maximizing the accuracy of your lathe. The lathe needs to be level on its base end-to-end and side-to-side, otherwise you will have a twist or bow in the frame that will affect accuracy. See the excellent article on getting a lathe leveled at: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~chrish/tsetup.htm --------------------------------- Gil Fuqua, Jr., CPA Corporate Communications, Inc. 523 Third Ave. S.
