For anyone with this problem, Griot's Garage carries "Quick Find Adhesive Socket Tags" in both metric and inch sizes. These are little stickers you adhere to your sockets. They have nice readable numbers. Each set (inch or metric) is $2.95. I haven't tried them yet, but I think I will soon.
