My wonderful wife has provided me with my first *real* tool box, and it's a
beauty. Well, to me, at least. It's a "Blue Point" brand (by Snap-On).
Has top and bottom sections, each with drawers ranging from 1" deep to 4".
The top swings open on hinges, and closes to lock that section. It
included the nice black dense foam drawer liners.
MY QUESTION: How does one go about organizing your tools? Suggestions for
what best goes in the shallow drawers vs. the deeper ones? How do I keep
that very top compartment (with the lid) from becoming a junk collection?!?
Should I sort them by field, i.e. metal working, woodworking, electrical
tools?
This came about because I had been looking at boxes at Sears, and she knew
that I had to have the ball-bearing drawers, etc. The local Snap-On guy is
a good friend of ours, and he gave her a great deal on the box, even though
it cost about twice what I was planning to spend! Hmm, now I guess she
gets whatever she wants this year...
thanks - Lee
