OK guys, Marty Adams, SAAB tech and dealer principal extraordinaire solved my problem. As I was thinking, I was pumping air back into the system. Marty and I came up with a neat solution - this Sonett has a '73 Sonett motor with the CTO fitting in the top of the T-stat housing. As this is the high point off the radiator where air collects, this will be perfect for the expansion tank bleedoff line. Psyched!
