Bring it to a plater and they will dip it and it will come right off.
Blasting is absolutely the wrong way to do it. It only pounds the nickel and
or copper back into the surface.
If it has been copper plated you might have a problem getting it off. May
have to be re plated (with acid copper) to provide a a good base for the
nickel to polish up. Depending on what media you used it may have
contaminated the surface so it would be impossible to get a good and safe
finish when replating. If it is suspension parts, I would have them hydrogen
baked.
TALK WITH YOUR PLATER and tell him what happened and let him suggest a way.
