It's worth a try. When you have bare metal you are trying to shrink you heat a rather large area, and the area you want to shrink hotter and then cool the area to be shrunk with a wet cold rag. I wrap the dry ice in a thin rag and put it on the back side of the panel if I could get to it. If you are successful though, it might only be a temporary fix. The area has been stretched and the slightest touch would probably cause it to "oil can" again. |
