Richard
I just finished building for my 60 gal 5 hp compressor. I made it so I
have about a foot of space all around the unit. I put Vents at the top
of the roof and used A/C filter over the vents. I also sealed all the
doors with weather stripping and put a ducted air ( also filtered ) from
outside the shed to the cooling fan. With this the fan pumps filtered air
from outside for cooling and the air exits the roof vents.
I also placed two small doors on the side walls so I can access from out
side the intake air filter and oil check and fill side of the pump. The
second door allows access the motor and connection. A pipe is fitted
from the drain to outside with a shutoff on the end. The little doors
make checking the oil level very easy and the out side valve allows me to
drain the tank ever time I walk by.
All this and a nice quiet workshop !!!!!!
