John, I've been following the suggestions. The saw kerf solution is "quick'n dirty", but you loose a lot of strength. If somebody's butt is going to be on this, they may get a surprise when you hit a bump. Plywood is strong, but only if intact. I personally favor Trevor's suggestions to laminate thin strip into the shape you need. It is more work, but you will have a strong piece. Do it right and do it once. GJB |
