Ohmigosh! That's the first time I ever got in trouble trusting Carroll
Smith!
His books have been the racer's bible for lots of years: Tune to Win,
Engineer to win, etc. My quote was from page 181 of "Nuts, Bolts and
Fasteners"
"National Tapered Pipe (NTP) numbers refer to the inside etc., etc. . .
."
It didn't SOUND right, but I don't usually argue with Carroll Smith!
Thanks for the correction . . . the basic taper tapping advice still
stands.
