In the old days, folks did it with long tire irons. You can still buy such irons, but you will run into problems: breaking the bead of the tire away from the wheel requires a lot of downward force, and stretching the (steel reinforce, usually) bead over the wheel also requires a lot of force. Not a lot of fun, even for small wheels. |
