I had a contract with Safety-Kleen a few years back, before I bought my
own parts washer. I called up and made the arrangement as "The Dimebank
Garage", of course - but the guy who did the delivery clucked a bit
about the fact that my business was in a house in a residential
area, and said that his boss probably shouldn't find out. It's not
an arrangement they're happy with, at least in the SF Bay Area.
The water-based solvents are likely to become the norm for areas
that have air quality problems, like LA, Sacramento, the seven county
Bay Area Air Quality Management District ... all the same places
that you can't buy lacquer paints any more.
